- Current System status, components, versions and support pack levels.
- Do you see any business benefits to move to S/4 HANA or is it a technical migration project funded by IT.
- Overall landscape diagram with internal and external system connections clearly depicted.
- Is it an on-premise system or hosted environment?
- Have you done a study to decide and conclude between System conversion VS a New Implementation VS a Selective Migration?
- What are your plans? Do you want to remain on-premise or wish to resort into savings by moving (infra) to AWS or Azure?
- Current system db size.
- When was the last archive done? What are the archive policies e.g. hot store/cold store duration restrictions etc?
- Which are the add-ons? Both SAP and third party.
- Is it a Unicode system?
- Have you changed your business partner already and completed the CVI(Customer-vendor) Integration?
- Was a BSR done by SAP yet? If yes, then we need the report.
- Which version of Solution Manager do you have? Can we upgrade to 7.2? Doesn’t cost a thing.
- Do you have a FIORI system? i.e. Gateway Hub or similar setup?
- What are the Industry business functions and switches that are turned on and are critical to the business?
- What’s the BW and analytics/BOBJ landscape?
- Which Solution Tools Plug-Ins you have?
- Do you have any special Security setups e.g. cybersecurity software?
- When do you plan to do this project? When is your Financial year-end closing? S/4 HANA conversion impacts this.
- What is the level or percentage of your custom code? i.e. low, medium high? Have you ever done a code clean up to get rid of un-used code? Do you have ABAP Development tools such as Eclipse etc?
- Do you have a S/4 HANA license yet or are you ready to take one? If not, we will need to take a copy of your sbx or dev to estimate benefits.
- What is your SAP team structure? And how much is the involvement that expect in this project? Low, medium, high?
